It's Tough But Not Too Tough

If you've listened to the news lately or even glanced at a newspaper, you can't miss the headlines about the economy being in the dumps. Yes it's true, we have seen better days, but that doesn't mean that we should roll up in our shells like a turtle and just hope that it passes. Being in a network marketing company is a great way to increase your overall economic situation.

The question then becomes, how do I get someone to spend money with me when times are so uncertain. Well I can't say that I have all the answers but here are some thoughts that may help you.

At all times you need to remember one very important detail. We are not in the "Sales" game, we are in distribution. Think of it this way. Basically with SOC you have a vending machine that doesn't require any of the work that a normal vending machine has. People often ask, how do you make money on a 62 cent card? The answer to that is simple. We don't make a ton of money on a single card, we make money by the thousands of cards that are sent each day. The more people that send one card a day the more we make, and you can make money that way too.

With these tough economic times, it's not that people don't have money. It's whether or not they are going to spend money with you. In order to get people to spend money with you, you have to have a good presentation and they must believe in themselves and you. The distributor package really isn't that much when you consider all you need to do is sign up three more distributors to break even. In order to be successful, you'll need to look for people that are looking for opportunity, and we certainly have lots of opportunity.

The best way to measure how successful you are going to be, it to look at your calendar. Is your calendar full of appointments to do Gift Account Walk-throughs? If it's not, then success probably isn't knocking on your door. We are in the business of helping others send cards, and the only way they are going to send cards is to be taught how to send those cards. Start creating appointments to teach someone to send cards today.
