3 Things To A Perfect Gift Account Walk Through

Posted: April 10, 2009 by: Jason

We all know that the Gift Account Walk-through (GAW) is the most important part of showing someone our fabulous system. In order to get to the GAW, you must schedule that appointment, but once that appointment is scheduled knowing what to do during the presentation is key.

There are three easy steps in performing a great GAW, and I've listed them here for you to review.

3 Steps: (so easy your mouth will drop)

Step #1: Get the person to send a card through our system. The reason that this one is number one, is because it's the most important. I usually let the GAW speak for itself, and try not to confuse it with a bunch of information before I actually send the card. Start by saying to someone "I have something really cool to show you", and see if you can schedule some time. That's usually all it takes. Don't get into all the details of the system, just tell them it's cool and you'll can send cards, that's it.

Step #2: Walk the person through the other parts of the system. Jordan Adler suggests showing each person the Picture Plus video. Since they are unable to send a picture plus card in the GAW (unless of course you've enabled that), it's a good idea to show them additional capabilities of the system. I always show them my contact list and how it's organized, along with how my reminders work. There are a ton of things to show, but contacts, campaigns and picture plus are sure fire set of key features that shouldn't be missed.

Step #3: Go over the options. While listening to Jordan Adler, I really liked an exercise that he does with each potential user after they have seen everything. He asks them to take out a notepad to write down the various options to being a card sender. This technique is powerful because it allows them to see exactly what they would be getting at each option. If they truly see the value in using the system, then they will pick the right option for them. But explaining all the options is a key factor in signing someone up.

Bonus Step: With the economy being so rough, it's important to drop a simple line in the ear of a new card sender ONLY AFTER THEY HAVE SENT A CARD! This is important because almost everyone is looking for something to help bring additional income into their bank account. Once they have walked through everything, ask them "Would you like to know how to make money doing this"? If you already have a relationship with this person and they trust you, they are almost certainly going to listen to what you have to say. Remember, keep it simple and to the point, don't go into all the finer details of how you get paid on this an that. Tell them they get a bonus for getting three people involved and the system becomes free to them and they will continue to get paid on those that send cards that they signed up. It's really that simple.

I hope that these techniques are something that you can use, and as always, if you have questions just ask.
