Recently, some of you may have gotten an email from Kody Batman, the CEO of SendOutCards. By receiving this email you were notified that during a certain period of time, between Jan. 6th and Jan. 24th, that your cards were actually not sent. This only happened if you were using the New Card editor, so for those of you that were using the old card editor, you should be fine.

SendOutCards being a stand up company that they are, have taken this matter seriously and reimbursed those of you that have had the unfortunate luck of being one of the first to try out the new card editor. Not only did they give you back what you had lost, they doubled it up in points. So if your card cost you two points to send, they reimbursed you four points.

The problem was explained by Kody as follows:

The problem was not in the programming, it was in the printing logistics. With the old editor, the program sends files to the printers and the production team follows a sequence of procedures that insures that all files transfer to the printer. The production team was using the same sequence of procedures with the new card editor files. We discovered that that sequence was blocking a portion of the files from transferring to the printer. The sequence of procedures has been changed to accommodate the new system and further checks and balances have been put in place to catch any discrepancies.

As you can see there are still some small bugs to work out. If you find that one of your cards didn't reach it's destination, give me a call or call customer service. Someone is there to help. But if you hadn't received an email from Kody, then you should be in the clear and your cards have gone out.
