When sending a card to business contact, is there a rule of thumb of when to send one and when not to send one? Basically do you really need a reason to thank someone? Studies show that the most effective business greeting cards and postcards are the unexpected ones.
Sent to simply say hello, give motivation to a co-worker, or tell valued customers/clients that you're thinking of them. So if you're waiting for a special occasion to send a card...DON'T
The reason to get in touch with a business client are endless. Next time you're about to scribble on a sticky note or dash off an e-mail, why not add a more personal touch and send a card instead? Imagine the feeling your contact will have when they get something totally unexpected from you. In this day and age, there isn't a person that you'll run into that doesn't need a pick-me-up once in a while. Plus you never know, that one card could lead to something huge, and all you had to do was act on a prompting.
Remember, next time in pops into your mind to send someone a card, don't hesitate, just go ahead and do it.
