Setting Up Shop

Remember that "Success Guide" I was telling you about? Well it's finally finished and I'm here to tell you that I'm going to start sharing it with you. So without further ado, lets begin.

The first thing we need to do is get the important stuff taken care of and in process so it frees us up from other more time consuming tasks. As a distributor, you were sent a "Distributor Kit", and in that kit are two pieces of paper that are essential to you being successful right out of the gate.

The first piece of paper that you should fill out and either mail or fax back is the W-9 Form. The W-9 is there so that Uncle Sam can keep an eye on you, and you can claim all your earnings at the end of the year. It's also a vital piece of information that the SOC Accounting department needs so that they can send you all those big checks you'll be bringing in.

The second form you need to pull out of your distributor kit is the hand written fonts. This is a really powerful technique for selling to those people that want a really personal touch. I feel the most important part of this form is the signature section. Adding a custom signature to a card is really powerful, so it's important that you get this in the mail ASAP, because it take a few days for it to be scanned and then put into your account. You'll notice when it's uploaded because you will have a new font option called "personal". It's a great tool and any of you that have gotten a card from me will have noticed my signature in red on each of my cards.

That should take care of some of the house keeping that we have to get done and out of the way so that we can move on to the real important stuff, which is contacting customers. My next post will be about your websites and how you can take advantage of each of them, and even find out about some hidden websites that SOC doesn't make a big deal about.
